Frozen Embryos

Women are increasingly turning to freezing their embryos in order to postpone childbearing until after establishing their careers. What should happen to the frozen embryos which go unused? Discarded? Donated to another couple? Used for research? What are the ethical issues most important in your decision?

Girls in Football

Should girls be allowed to try out for and play on high school football teams in all positions? In just more protected positions like kicker?

Women in the Military

Are women capable of being as violent as men? Are they less likely to commit atrocities, or be involved in abuse scandals like Abu Grahib, or more likely, since they have to prove to their male colleagues that they are tough?

Equal Pay for Equal Work

All other things being equal (type of job, quality of work one does on the job), are women less likely to negotiate their salaries up than men? Are egalitarian men less likely to negotiate up than traditional men? Does this factor in to the reality that traditional men make $11,000 more than egalitarian men at the same job, and $14,000 more than traditional women at the same job?

Parenting: Are Mothers More Responsible?

When things go wrong with a child, are women held more responsible for parent failures? Should they be?

Election 2008: Race, Gender, Age Taboos

What percentage of people vote on identity (candidate's race, age, gender) rather than the issues? Is it legitimate to vote on identity over issues?
